LUKE VERWEY SETS PERSONAL BEST LAP OF DONINGTON PARK DURING WORLDSBK WEEKEND, LOOKS AHEAD TO REMAINDER OF BSB SEASON
Luke Verwey reflects on his ‘wildcard’ weekend in WorldSSP300 at Donington Park ahead of this weekend’s British Junior Supersport Championship round at Snetterton, Norfolk.
Luke Verwey:
“The first session was decent. I was able to get my times down to the target I’d set. Session two I matched my FP1 time almost immediately and then went faster even though I expected to go a bit faster. We decided to change the gearing and it was wet and I really struggled as the bike handled completely different. It was only practice so I didn’t panic and just focused on getting ready for qualifying. It was really wet and there was so much spray, it was like someone spraying me with a water gun so I decided to my own thing. The Last Chance race was fun and held in the dry. I made I great start and had a brilliant race long battle. I learned a lot and head to Snetterton full of confidence after going faster at Donington than I have before. I also think that when we come back to Donington for BSB we will be in good shape.”
