INTRODUCING LUKE VERWEY
Luke Verwey started racing in 2016 and finished 11th overall in the Aprilia Superteen Championship having had no previous riding or racing experience.
Last year he raced at the British Superbikes in the KTM Junior Cup and in the Superteen series for additional practice. An early season crash caused him to miss his first round of the KTM Cup, but nevertheless, the teenager was able to come back strong achieving several top ten results (best of 7th) on his way to 15th overall in the final KTM Cup classification.
He finished a strong 9th overall in the Superteen championship despite missing 12 races due to BSB race date clashes and rode a 600cc machine for the second half of the season at Thundersport GB in the Pre-National Championship. Notching up a brace of strong results, he impressed everyone with a 3rd place finish at his very first round!
2018 sees Luke riding for XG Racing aboard a Kawasaki 400cc machine in the all new British Supersport 300cc Championship alongside the popular BSB series. He will be mentored by World & British Superbike runner up Leon Haslam.
